This album contains two galleries – the Gallery of Minority Peoples and the Gallery of Ming & Qing Furniture. I took them just before closing, so they are not complete and I didn’t get the labels. But at least you can get the general idea. This is one of at least six albums I’ve created for the different galleries of the museum. Check the “Shanghai” tag to find the others, or look for postings from August, 2008. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumMinorityPeopleSGalleryMingQingFurnitureGallery#

Shanghai Museum: Gallery of Ancient Seals
This album contains the gallery of ancient seals of the Shanghai Museum. Most of them are quite small, and are generally placed in chronological order. This is one of at least six albums I’ve created for the different galleries of the museum. Check the “Shanghai” tag to find the others, or look for postings from August, 2008. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumGalleryOfAncientSeals#
Shanghai Museum: Jade Gallery
This album contains the jade gallery of the Shanghai Museum. Unfortunately, harsh museum lighting makes jade the most difficult artifact to photograph, and many of these shots are not very good. Hopefully they will give an idea of the quality of workmanship anyway. Also, not every object here is true jade, but I didn’t have time to write everything down, so I will call it all jade. This is one of at least six albums I’ve created for the different galleries of the museum. Check the “Shanghai” tag to find the others, or look for postings from August, 2008. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumJadeGallery#
Shanghai: Expo 2010 World’s Fair
This is my fourth world’s fair (I have photos from the other 3 posted elsewhere on my website). I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I was there for only one day, so there is quite a bit I did not get to see or photograph. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiExpo2010WorldSFair#
Shanghai: Oriental Pearl Tower & Museum of Old Shanghai
Here are views of Shanghai from the top 2 levels of the Oriental Pearl Tower taken on Sept. 18, 2010. At the bottom of the tower is a museum of Old Shanghai showing scenes from the late 19th & early 20th centuries, when it was under the control of Western adventurers. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiOrientalPearlTowerMuseumOfOldShanghai#
Shanghai Museum: Ancient Coinage
This album contains many ancient Chinese coins and coin moulds, plus a collection of coins from nations on the Silk Road. This is one of at least six albums I’ve created for the different galleries of the museum. Check the “Shanghai” tag to find the others. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumAncientCoins#
Shanghai Museum: Pottery & Porcelain
This album contains nearly every artifact which was on display at the Shanghai Museum Pottery Gallery on August 23-24, 2008. This is definitely the most thorough collection of Chinese pottery I have ever seen. This is one of four albums I’ve created for some 1250 artifacts I photographed in the museum. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumPotteryPorcelain#
Shanghai Museum: Ancient Bronze Gallery
This album contains every artifact which was on display at the Shanghai Museum Bronze Gallery on August 23, 2008. With the National Museum still closed for renovation, the Shanghai Museum is probably the greatest museum in all China, and one of the greatest in the world. This is one of four albums I’ve created for some 1250 artifacts I photographed in the museum. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. http://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseumAncientBronze#
Shanghai Museum 2006
This is the first Chinese museum I ever photographed, two years before I started this website. I have since added 8 or 9 additional albums of museum & Shanghai photos taken in 2008 & 2010. You can find them using the “Shanghai” tag on the website. Photos by Gary L. Todd, Ph.D., Professor of History, Sias International University, Xinzheng, Henan, China. https://picasaweb.google.com/GaryLeeTodd/ShanghaiMuseum2006#
